I was raised as a Texan from Dallas. I attended Abilene Christian University for pre-med, and then medical school at the University of Texas in Galveston. I completed Internal Medicine Training with the University of Tennessee practicing in Nashville since 1983. God called me to Addiction Medicine in 2001. Guided by the best mentors in the field of addiction, I served as Detox Director at Cumberland Heights. Later I became Medical Director for The Ranch, New Life Lodge, and The Next Door.
My calling is to be of service to those who suffer with mental health issues including addiction. While I play an important part in the medical issues of addiction, I am a believer that therapy is the answer for the suffering addict. I commit to provide a safe, compassionate place to seek refuge from the pain of addiction. It is our responsibility to share our wisdom of the tools needed to break free to a safer, happier life in recovery.

I earned my Master of Arts degree in Clinical Counseling from Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville, Tenn. Prior to joining Hope Alive Center, I practiced individual and group counseling at Scales Nutrition and Wellness Center and New Directions Counseling and Consulting in Nashville, Tenn. Having family members who struggled with addiction, I have real life experiences of the challenges of treatment and recovery, as well as the effects of addiction on the family. Because of this personal history, I believe God has called me to help those hurting from addiction to relieve shame and guilt without judgment and by instilling hope. I have worked with Dr. Arnett, as his primary therapist since 2012. I focus on helping clients work through anxiety, depression, chemical dependency, boundaries, co-dependency, self-acceptance, and grief/loss. My approach to therapy with my clients is based on all the facets of a person: mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually.
My name is Te’Ana Morales I’m the office manager. I’m a native of Nashville, TN. In 2012 I graduated for Remington College as a medical assistant. I chose to work in the addiction treatment specialty from the personal experiences that I witnessed. I love seeing our patients grow and overcome the battles they are facing. On my down time I love going on vacations, spending time with my family and attending my kids soccer games.
